Paper

Presenter(s): C. Matthew Fugate

There are varying definitions of gifted – from a vast number of national definitions to differing theoretical foundations that inform our understanding. Principles of culturally responsive practice serve as a guide for educators as we work to meet the needs of our increasingly diverse population of students, begging the question, could it be that gifted by any other name is still gifted?
